About Laura Beck
Laura Beck earned her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with a Certification
in K-8 Mathematics for Baker College in 2012. Upon graduation Laura realized her passion
was within higher education and she began working part-time for Macomb Community College
in the Office of Student Life and Leadership. In 2013 Laura went on to work for Madonna
University where she also began her Masters in Higher Education and Student Affairs
(HESA) program. In 2016 Laura graduated from the HESA program and secured her first
student affairs position as an Academic Advisor and Retention Specialist for Madonna
University's Health Sciences program. In January 2019 Laura came to work at Washtenaw
Community College as a Student Success Specialist where she helps students navigate
and obtain the resources that they need to successfully complete their educational
goals at WCC.
