WCC Courses
Enroll in up to three credits of WCC classes at no tuition cost! Qualified employees are eligible to apply for the waiver each semester, covering both credit and non-credit courses. WCC Library
Borrow materials through the Bailey Library, explore the Interlibrary Loan program, or reserve a group study room. The Learning Commons (LC) also offers complimentary printing services to our 3D printer! The LC provides assistance with printer usage & consulting if needed, and supplies the printing filament at no cost. Visit the Library website for more information.

Teaching and Learning Center
The Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) offers a variety of professional development opportunities each week. The Teaching and Learning Center offers daily opportunities to enhance or update your skills in a variety of areas. Entrepreneurship Center
The Entrepreneurship Center is a welcoming resource hub that supports individuals in developing their entrepreneurial capacity. Through thoughtful conversations, partnerships, and programs, those at the college and in the surrounding communities are inspired and driven to actively grow their ventures as professionals, social innovators, or business owners.
Retirement
Michigan Public Schools Employee Retirement System (ORS)
ORS administers retirement programs for various groups, including Michigan's public school employees. As a public school employee, you ’ll have the option to choose either the Pension Plan (Pension + Savings Plan for healthcare) or the Defined Contribution Plan! Supplemental Retirement Plans
Employees are eligible to participate in the 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity Program and/or the 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan. Both plans allow for tax free payroll deduction to the approved provider(s). 403b / 457b Supplemental Retirement accounts are available by payroll deduction through TIAA, Lincoln Financial, and Valic Financial!
MPSERS Retirees
Michigan Public Schools retirees are able to teach at WCC with no effect on their pension or insurance premium subsidy if they have a bona fide termination, which includes not working in the month of your retirement effective date and have been retired at least six consecutive months! These rules will be in effect until Oct. 10, 2028.

Wellness Wednesdays
Participate in "Wellness Wednesdays, " a no-cost program available to all employees. This program is offered twice a month with nourishing refreshments, informative wellness talks, guided meditation, beginner yoga classes, and the chance to win prizes! Walking Program
WCC features nearly two miles of campus trails and is conveniently located on the Huron River Greenway Border-to-Border Trail. Enjoy complimentary weekly check-ins with a nurse, dietician appointments, plenty of group encouragement, and exciting giveaways when you join our walking program. Sign-up instructions will be sent to your WCC email during the fall and winter semesters.

Lactation Rooms
Understanding the importance of parental needs, WCC offers convenient and private lactation rooms across campus, ensuring a comfortable environment for breastfeeding or expressing milk. These rooms are available for use during both day and evening hours. Students, faculty, and staff can reserve a lactation room by contacting the Student Resource Center (SRC).
WCC Dental Clinic
During the Winter semester, WCC's Dental Clinic is operational on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout February and March. Open to students, staff, faculty, and the community, our clinic offers services facilitated by WCC Dental Assisting students collaborating with University of Michigan dental students. EV Charging
We're proud to offer six EV fueling stations in our parking structure, supporting the transition to cleaner transportation options. Additionally, as part of our commitment to sustainability, we' ve designated preferred parking for users of low- emitting or fuel-efficient vehicles, aligning with LEED project standards. These initiatives reflect our dedication to creating a greener, more sustainable campus.
Bee Campus USA
To entice and nurture bees at WCC, the campus provides many bee friendly native flowers, a core garden, non-toxic fertilization and eradication techniques, as well as educational events about pollinators. WCC participates in No Mow May to help our bee pollinators and hosts Bee Campus Awareness Events like Building the Motor City Bee Highway and Bee-Friend the Bees. Explore more about our efforts here.
Seed Library
The Seed Library was established in 2015 within the Bailey Library where students, staff, and community members can get seeds for free to start their own garden, learn about seed sowing, protect open-pollinated and unique varieties and support the fight against climate change. This will be a place to educate the WCC community about gardening and saving their seeds for future crops.
Recycling/Waste
WCC composts food and yard waste, while our recycling program handles paper, cardboard, metal, plastic, and glass, effectively reducing our environmental footprint. Additionally, batteries, electronic waste, and Styrofoam can be recycled here. WCC also participates annually in the RecycleMania event.
Parkridge
Parkridge Community Center
Washtenaw Community College has partnered with the City of Ypsilanti to provide education, recreational, and community programs at Parkridge Community Center in Ypsilanti. Throughout the year, the College and Career Readiness department serves youth and adults through direct programs and services in local schools and the Center. In addition, the department partners with a number of community organizations to coordinate resources and support programs responding to the holistic needs of the surrounding community.
Seeking to make a positive impact? Parkridge Community Center not only provides STEM summer camps and after-school programs but also partners with a diverse range of community organizations, offering programming options—both virtual and in-person. Through these initiatives, we strive to enhance the lives of individuals in the community while nurturing a sense of belonging, opportunity, and empowerment. Employment opportunities present a chance for individuals to bring their skills and enthusiasm to this important cause. Making a lasting difference within our community is not only deeply rewarding but also essential for our collective growth and well-being.
