Student Body

The Office of Institutional Research and the Student Records Office at WCC collects and publishes data on our graduation/retention rates and student body diversity for graduates as required by the Department of Education.

The data are updated annually in April.

Graduation and Retention Rates

Students beginning in Fall 2022:

Graduation Rate: Percentage of students who enrolled as first time, full-time students in a WCC program and graduated from WCC was 29 percent.  Additional graduation/transfer data available at the IPEDS Data Center (www.nces.ed.gov/ipeds/). 

Transfer Rate:  Percentage of students who enrolled as first-time, full-time students in a WCC program and transferred to any college was 24 percent.

Retention Rate: Of the first time, full time WCC students who did not graduate or transfer, 23% continued to enroll at WCC. Additional retention data available at the IPEDS Data Center (www.nces.ed.gov/ipeds/).

Employment Data

WCC surveys alumni 6 months after graduation.  Of the students who graduated from WCC in academic year 2024-2025 (Fall 2024 through Spring/Summer 2025):

  • 76.3% reported being employed at the time of the survey (51.7% full-time and 24.6% part-time)
  • 57.0% reported that their employment was related to the program from which they graduated
  • 50.9% of respondents had enrolled in another academic program (38.7% at a 4-year institution and 12.2% at a 2-year institution, including WCC)
