Honors

If you are a student who has earned high grades during your time at WCC, congratulations! Your hard work has paid off. We give students who have the highest levels of academic achievement special recognition.

Recognition for Graduates

Graduates are recognized as Honors grads if they earn 3.5-3.79 cumulative GPA at the time of graduation.

Graduates are recognized as High Honors grads if they earned a minimum 3.8 or higher cumulative GPA at the time of graduation.

Honors and High Honors graduate recognitions are indicated on students' transcripts, in the commencement program, and in press releases. These graduates are also invited to the annual Honors Convocation recognition ceremony the Thursday prior to commencement, where they will receive a certificate.

Semesterly Recognition

The Dean's List includes students who:

  • Were enrolled full-time (12+ credits) during a semester and earned a 3.5 GPA or higher for the semester
  • Were enrolled part-time who achieved an average 3.8 or higher GPA while completing at least 15 credits over three semesters

While Dean’s list recognition is not listed on the transcript, students who are on the Dean’s List will be invited to the annual Honors Convocation recognition ceremony in May where they will receive a certificate.
