Events

Meet new people and make friends! The International Student Center (ISC) hosts fun annual events to help you get connected and enjoy campus and local amenities. Events may change each semester, so check back often for the latest information.

Global Discussion Series

The Global Discussion Series is offered every semester, examining global topics such as human trafficking, genocide, migrant detention camps, woman’s rights, and many more in a free discussion format for WCC employees, students and community members alike to explore global issues. The discussions will be led by subject-matter experts, WCC faculty and students.

International career workshop series

In partnership with the Center for Career Success, we hold workshops during the Fall semester to help you navigate the American job field. We cover topics such as:

  • Creating a winning resume
  • Interviewing success strategies
  • Marketing yourself for the job you want

International Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving is an annual American holiday observed on the 4th Thursday in November, when family and friends gather for a meal and remember all we have to be grateful for. Join your international friends to celebrate Thanksgiving with dinner, dancing, and karaoke in Garrett’s Restaurant. You are encouraged to provide a dish for the event from your home country.
