Faculty

  • “Green” your own courses by including sustainability content relevant to your subject area, adding service projects and field trips to your course
  • Make an existing event in the Year of Energy an extra credit assignment for your students.
  • Work with the Sustainability Literacy Task Force on integrating sustainability into the curriculum.
  • Volunteer with the WCC Sustainability Council and work with faculty, staff and students to Green the campus.
  • Volunteer with the Core Garden or with the Seed Library (mccarthy@wccnet.edu).

  • “Green” your department by reducing, reusing and recycling, turning off power to equipment and lights when not in use, and purchasing only Energy Star equipment.
