Want to stand out on your resume, strengthen your transfer application, or gain hands-on experience solving real-world challenges?
SolveIT! is an entrepreneurial mindset challenge where WCC students work in teams to tackle authentic business and community challenges. You don't need to be a business major or have prior business experience. You'll bring your unique strengths and perspective to the team while developing solutions alongside fellow students, coaches, and local business leaders.
Through this experience, you'll discover how an entrepreneurial mindset can help you identify opportunities, tackle complex problems, and create meaningful solutions in school, at work, and in everyday life.
How It Works
Meet Your Team
Virtual Prep Event
Tuesday, October 13, 2026 | 6–7 p.m. | Virtual
Highly recommended for all participants!
Before the main challenge, join us for a one-hour virtual Meet Your Team session designed to help you feel prepared and confident for SolveIT!
During the session, you'll:
- Meet your assigned teammates and coaches
- Learn more about the entrepreneurial mindset behind SolveIT!
- Discover how your individual strengths can contribute to your team
- Ask questions about the event
- Review the event expectations and schedule
- Get familiar with the overall flow of the day
By the end of the session, you'll know who you're working with, understand what your role may look like, and know what to expect when you arrive for the main challenge.
The Main Challenge
Friday, October 16, 2026 | 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
On the day of SolveIT!, you'll collaborate with your team to tackle a real-world business or community challenge. During this one day event You'll use creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, and an entrepreneurial mindset to develop a practical solution and present your ideas. throughout the day have fun working with your teammates and learning from our variety of consulting labs to present your final solution (a google slides/Microsoft PowerPoint).
This experience is designed to introduce students from diverse academic backgrounds to the ways entrepreneurs think, solve problems, and recognize opportunities.

No business experience is required. SolveIT! is open to students across disciplines. All you need is curiosity, creativity, a willingness to collaborate, and a desire to learn.
