WTMC Teacher Effectiveness Rubric and Teacher Evaluation Process
These instruments, approved by Board of Trustees in 2010, are designed to promote quality teaching and student learning while enhancing professional practice and improving instruction.

Our goals are to:

  • encourage professional growth
  • be flexible and fair to the people being evaluated
  • use these tools to establish professional goals and identify professional development needs

Teacher Effectiveness Rubric
This tool helps us evaluate:

  • professional responsibilities
  • planning and preparation for learning
  • instructional methods
  • classroom management
  • assessment

Superintendent Evaluation Tool
The Revised School Code requires school boards to evaluate their superintendent's job performance annually as part of a comprehensive performance evaluation system that takes into account growth data and requires certain additional factors. WTMC has adopted the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) superintendent evaluation instrument, which is based on the requirements of the Revised School Code and provides a straightforward option for superintendent evaluation.
